What comes to mind is the old schoolyard “it takes one to know one” argument-ender. Eventually we are all discovered, no? Writers, lovers, parents…

I think a good liar must first and foremost be a good actor.

Or a writer [snicker!] My dear old Dad used to say of prevaricators – “He’d lie when the truth sounded better!” Which was funny because dear old Dear Old was a first-rate liar [story teller]. As are [see my remark to David, ben Alexander. above] lovers… and [your] actors. Some so good, they come to believe themselves. Thanks for dropping by.
