Are there other whole numbers we have missed?
Between “4” and “5”? Between “1001” and “1002”?
Maybe in another dimension?
Another reality?
The other side of a black hole?
Measuring dark matter?
A “whole” number is a concept, isn’t it?
I mean, 4 apples, yeah, I get it. And 5 apples, sure.
I can hold 4 apples and I can hold 5 apples.
Can I hold something between 4 and 5 apples without a paring knife?
Is ‘between’ even relevant?
Where does concept end and reality start or reality end and concept start?
I’m reminded of that old adage:
“A stitch in time is fine,”
Said Asimov and Einstein.
