Relocation – December 25, 2021

We closed on the house down south.  Time-consuming and frustrating. Scouted for a new place up nawth. Time-consuming and extremely frustrating.  We’ll soon close on the new house.  We’ll wait for stored belongings to migrate north. Then we’ll sort through what we felt absolutely necessary before relocating to determine what was, in fact, absolutely necessary. Realities of downsizing might start sinking-in. It will be time-consuming and frustrating.

The large lady isn’t ready to sing.

Retired career IT software engineer, or as we were called in the old days, programmer, it's time to empty my file cabinet of all the "creative" writing accumulated over the years - toss most of it, salvage and publish what is worthwhile.

    1. Thanks. Family. That’s going to be the bet of it. Maybe some hunting and fishing again. Like everything else, we’ll have to watch the sun rise to see what tomorrow brings. Hope your holiday is most pleasant.

    1. No slight intended. If you’d made me translate from Hebrew (or even Yiddish) all these months, I’d have been alert to a need for another translation. As it is, admit it, your English is better than mine, and I was borned and brung up ri’cheer. Season’s best to you in the spirit we all wish we celebrated the whole year. Gosh. Haven’t heard from India, Pakistan, China, Russia, Arabic nations, Canada and other countries where English isn’t primary. Am I in trouble here?

      1. See? I really must hone my English. I knew “good fortune” (to you), though like so many other languages, oft-used expressions never translate clearly, or with the native meaning and intensity. Commenting above, I was pleading ignorance for first overlooking Hebrew as perhaps something you might have found comfortable, and second for just being so damned dense.
